The Institute for Advanced Research (IFAR) at UIII proudly announces the inaugural IFAR Consortium Annual Conference 2026 — an international platform to explore the contours of inequality shaping Southeast Asia today.
We invite scholars and researchers to submit papers and panels that critically engage with our conference theme, encompassing — but not limited to — the following areas:
- State-building, economic development, and inequality
- Economic policies, globalization, and inequality
- State power, identity, marginality, and inequality
- Climate, resource politics, and inequality
- Technology, artificial intelligence, and inequality
- Consequences of political and economic inequality
Join us in Depok for three days of vibrant exchange, critical reflection, and cross-disciplinary dialogue on how power, protest, and privilege shape the region’s political, social, and economic landscapes.
Important Dates:
- Submission of panel and paper proposals: September 25 – December 31, 2025
- Notification of accepted panel and paper proposals: February 1, 2026
- Submission of conference papers: July 11, 2026
- Conference Dates: August 12–14, 2026
